Meet Bruce Whitby

Customer Service Manager (CSM)

Queensland and Western Australia

Bruce Whitby started his career with BlueCrest in November 2007, bringing his technical skills from 18 years repairing ten-pin bowling alleys across the country. Clearly, he loves to fix stuff and joining BlueCrest meant he could extend and develop his natural talents.

Now, Bruce is a highly proficient engineer, bringing an operator’s view to every problem he faces and an uncanny ability to quickly diagnose the root cause of most machine issues and resolve them, with no short cuts. Bruce is accountable, conscientious, takes pride in his work and puts customers first. It is unsurprising, therefore, that a couple of years ago Jason George asked him to assume a service leadership role, covering New South Wales in addition to his existing Queensland territory. Certainly a step up in responsibilities, with many more miles to clock up and a team to manage – yet Bruce has taken this all in his stride.

In a very short space of time Bruce has stamped his own style on this demanding role and made a difference. He is hands-on and leads from the front to get results.

Bruce is one of a wonderful team of service leaders and engineers at BlueCrest, all of whom are highly skilled, willing to flex when a situation calls for it and committed to deliver the results which keep our customers production sites up and running.

Amazingly enough, Bruce still has time for (sometimes frustrating) pastimes, such as supporting the Brisbane Broncos (a local rugby league premier team) and “trying to play golf”. He’s a keen video gamer, avid sci fi/fantasy fan and of course loves spending time with his family - wife Cindy, children Sharna, Jessica and Luke and 5 grand kids.
